Looking for Roofing and guttering in Amberley? Harris & Son Ltd is the family-run team homeowners across Amberley trust, with 300+ reviews and a 9.9/10 Checkatrade rating.
Amberley is a conservation village famous for its thatched and tiled cottages beneath the South Downs. Amberley lies in or beside the South Downs National Park, where period cottages, flint walls, clay peg tiles and lime mortar are the norm. Many properties are listed or sit in conservation areas, so we match reclaimed materials, use breathable lime where needed and respect planning requirements.
We cover new roofs, roof repairs, chimney repairs and repointing, gutter cleaning, gutter repairs and replacements, fascias and soffits, tile replacement and a fast emergency roofing service in Amberley.
New Roofs in Amberley
A new roof means stripping back to the rafters and rebuilding every layer: breathable membrane, treated battens, tiles or slate, ridges, verges and leadwork.
We install to BS 5534 and the manufacturer's wind-uplift calculations, so every tile is clipped and nailed exactly as required for your exposure zone. Where rafters have rotted or sagged we sister or replace them before re-covering, and we add ventilation to stop loft condensation.
Gutter Cleaning in Amberley
Professional gutter cleaning removes the leaves, moss and silt that cause overflows, damp walls and rotting fascias.
We clear every run by hand or with gutter vacuums, flush the outlets and downpipes, check the joints and brackets, and send you before-and-after photos so you can see the difference.
Fascia And Soffit Repairs in Amberley
Fascia and soffit repairs fix loose, cracked or rotten sections of roofline before damp and birds get into your eaves.
Not every roofline needs replacing. We can renew individual boards, re-fix loose soffits, seal gaps where birds and wasps nest, and replace damaged corner trims.
